FIELD: machine engineering, possibly cutting thread on elongated parts operating at sign-variable loads in condition of abrasive medium.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of performing heat and mechanical action by means of three electric-current supply rollers; using two rollers for working lateral surfaces of thread; putting out said two rollers by leading angle of thread turns; using third roller for working base of helical surface of thread; mounting third roller normally relative to part rotation axis. Electric current supply to rollers is realized in such a way that contact surface area of roller for working base of helical surface corresponds to contact surface area distributed for other rollers.
EFFECT: improved quality of thread of elongated parts.
