FIELD: textile industry, in particular, manufacture of safety belts.

SUBSTANCE: belt is produced on needle-type belt weaving machine and comprises warp and weft threads. Method involves providing repeated stages of laying warp threads by means of rapier; winding catching thread around weft thread, said catching thread being fed from weft thread exit side opposite weft thread inlet side, by means of hook needle operating at weft thread exit side; retracting rapier; winding catching thread fed at weft inlet side around weft thread by means of hook needle operating at weft thread inlet side, with single thread or combination of complex threads and single threads being used as weft thread; entangling catching thread at the stage of winding catching thread, fed at weft exit side around weft thread, at weft exit and inlet sides with closing thread; providing additional threads extending substantially in parallel with warp threads on at least inlet and/or exit side of weft thread between warp threads without winding around weft material, only in connection with catching thread course and course in ready belt; putting respective closing thread onto respective hook needle in such a manner that thread is arranged totally outside additional threads.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved consumer properties of safety belt.
