SUBSTANCE: method for forming the edges of woven products on a rapier weaving or a tape-weaving machine, consisting in the laying of weft yarns from fixed packages by two rigid or flexible rapiers moving in alternating order alternately from both sides in the form of loops of twin weft yarns with a short-term fixation at the level of the peripheral warp threads with subsequent release. Fixing the weft loops on each side of the woven fabric web is carried out periodically, programmable extendable in a vertical plane, protruding pointed rods of cylindrical shape, located obliquely or perpendicularly to the plane of the blade and departing from the web after the surf of each double weft yarn with the simultaneous release of the ends of the loops from the rods.
EFFECT: edges formed at the same time are obtained by similar "natural" ones, obtained on shuttle looms or tape looms.
