SUBSTANCE: method involves producing argon fraction in double-rectification column, rectifying argon fraction into the second column with oxygen removal from argon fraction; overcooling liquid argon fraction removed from the second column into overcooling device by means of gaseous nitrogen flow fed from the third column; supplying overcooled liquid argon fraction into the third column; separating argon fraction into the third column for obtaining pure argon.
EFFECT: eliminating necessity of additional pressure increase in upper column of rectification unit, increased expander cooling capacity.
