FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of low-pressure air separation comprises its cooling by gaseous separation products and low-temperature rectification with production of oxygen gas at pressure and liquid nitrogen. Portion of waste nitrogen gas is compressed in compressor at cryogenic unit outlet, cooled and condensed in heat exchanger by cold of liquefied natural gas and expanded to about barometric pressure. Nitrogen vapors generated hereat are directed into cryogenic unit for additional cooling of low-pressure airflow prior to feeding it into rectification column for separation.
EFFECT: higher explosion safety.
