FIELD: converter engineering; power inverters for control systems of inductive metal heating and smelting.
SUBSTANCE: device has n identical inverter cells 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, where n is number of induction units. Cells are individually controlled at frequency equal to resonant or almost resonant frequency of parallel high-frequency oscillatory circuit. In the process input power level of inductors corresponds to phase operating cycle of induction unit and equally shifted in time within cycle of simultaneously operating units. Series and parallel correction of inductor reactance is made in each inverter cell at frequency of inductor current low- and high-frequency components. High-frequency sine waves with center line varying by low-frequency signal mechanism are generated with aid of half-bridge circuit switches 7, 8 and diodes 9, 10. As a result high- and low-frequency signals are generated in inductors 6-1, 6-2, and 6-3 simultaneously. More than one induction units are fed from one power supply.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities, enhanced utilization of equipment, reduced installed capacity and power requirement of equipment.
