METHOD FOR PREDICTING EFFICIENCY IN TREATING NEUROLOGICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF LUMBAR VERTEBRAL OSTEOCHONDROSIS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

SUBSTANCE: one should detect electrophysiological values both before and after therapy. Coefficient of predicted efficiency is calculated by the following formula:

where - electrophysiological values before therapy, - elecrophysiological values after therapy, n - the number of electrophysiological values. In case of reflector syndromes and initial vegetative tonicity of sympathicotonia one should detect as electrophysiological values the following ones: amplitude of M-response at stimulating proximal motor point of fibular nerve and amplitude of M-response at stimulating proximal motor point of tibial nerve. At reflector syndromes and initial vegetative tonicity of eutonia or vagotonia one should detect: amplitude of M-response at stimulating proximal motor points of fibular nerve, amplitude of M-response at stimulating proximal motor point of tibial nerve and tension index. At radicular and radiculospinal syndromes one should detect: the rate for impulse passage along nervous fiber, amplitude of M-response at stimulating distal motor point and amplitude of M-response at stimulating proximal motor point. At coefficient's value being one should predict adequacy, and at - inadequacy of therapy conducted.

EFFECT: higher reliability of prediction.
