FIELD: communication systems with mobile objects.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to device and method establishing initial transmission power for forward communication channel over which base station sends signal to mobile station. Method determining initial transmission power for transmitter of forward communication channel of base station in mobile communication system includes stages measuring intensity (level) of signal of specified forward communication channel received from base station, transmission of information indicating intensity of signal of specified forward communication channel to base station, determination in base station of transmission power on basis of mentioned information received from mobile station and use of determined transmission power to set initial transmission power for another forward communication channel.

EFFECT: diminished crossfire of transmitters of forward communication channel while characteristic of reception of mobile station is widened and effectiveness of utilization of transmission power for base station is raised.
