FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating patients with thoracic traumas. One should apply superior drainage into pleural cavity in V or VI intercostals area in space between mesoclavicular line and anterior axillary line. With the help of a guiding element drainage should be directed towards cupola of pleural cavity along anterior thoracic wall. Additionally, one should apply average drainage in VII and VIII intercostals area between average axillary line and posterior axillary one. With the help of guiding element its distal end should be applied towards posterior thoracic wall. Inferior drainage should be applied in either VIII or IX intercostals area to install it in posterior costo-diaphragmatic sinus.
EFFECT: decreased severity of pleuro-pulmonary complications.
