SUBSTANCE: proposed packing consists of single-turn spiral cylindrical elements or spiral conical elements made from metal or plastic tape; diameter and pitch of spiral is more respectively than doubled width of tape and pitch of spiral is lesser than its diameter which is not limited. Diameter of packing is equal to 15 mm at conicity of 60 deg. and pitch of spiral equal to 10 mm; spiral is made from tape, 4 mm wide and 0.15 mm thick; its specific surface is equal to S=610m-1 at free volume of ϕ=0.96; number of elements n=12.105 in 1 m of volume.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
