FIELD: space engineering; designing and optimizing temperature control systems of communication satellites.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is used for monitoring thermo-regulator made in form of thermal drive and distributor of heat-transfer agent flow with one inlet and two outlets. Distributor includes regulating member connected with valve and sensor of its linear displacement. Before and after tests of thermo-regulator mechanical loads and thermo-cycling, it is subjected to check for operation at temperature of beginning and termination of operation by changing temperature of heat-transfer agent at thermal drive inlet. Temperatures and readings of sensor are recorded at moments of appearance and disappearance of flow of heat-transfer agent through distributor outlet. At final stage, check is made for absence of self-excited oscillations of regulating member simulating operation of thermo-regulator as part of temperature control system by temperature, pressure, pressure differential at distributor valve, flow rate and cleanness of heat-transfer agent. Device proposed for realization of this method includes closed circulating loop filled with liquid heat-transfer agent where thermal drive and simulators of liquid passages of payload modules and service systems, as well as radiator and bypasses of temperature control system are mounted Simulators are communicated with electric pump unit and distributor inlet and outlets by means of respective loops. Provision is made for respective meters and recorders.
