FIELD: composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a gypsum binder-based composite material that can be used for medical needs and in manufacture of building products (brick, wall blocks, crack fillers, plaster compositions, gypsum-cardboard sheets, gypsum-fibrous boards, etc.). Gypsum binder is β-semihydrate or water-soluble calcium sulfate anhydrite. Additive component in composite material (10-50%) is a naturally occurring carbon-containing mineral, namely schungite with particle size 1 to 200 mcm. Material is prepared by crushing gypsum stone followed by calcination at elevated temperatures and dry mixing of resulting gypsum binder as defined above with additive.
EFFECT: imparted protective, biocide, and antiseptic properties with strength properties preserved.
