FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for preparing methylchlorosilanes by direct synthesis of methyl chloride with contact mixture containing silicon, copper, aluminum and activating agent consisting of a mixture of zinc or its compounds and element(s) taken among the group: tin, antimony, phosphorus or their compounds taken separately or in different combinations to one another. Process is carried out at temperature below 350 C up to achievement the silicon conversion 2-10 wt.-% followed by additional charging the aluminum-free contact mass. Invention provides stability of process, high output and conversion of silicon.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
