FIELD: analytical methods in precious metal technology.
SUBSTANCE: sample material is ground to particle size 1 mm and analytical weighed amount is isolated and mixed with blend containing lead oxides, starch, sodium carbonate, sodium tetraborate decahydrate, and sodium nitrate in amount calculated by formulas in dependence on composition of sample to be analyzed. Resulting mixture is melted and content of precious metals is then determined in collector. Weight of lead oxides used as fluxes and weight of starch are calculated in dependence on composition of sample to be analyzed and weight of analytical weighed amount according ti formulas: Gfl = 2(MPbxOy/MPbO)·(CSiO2/100)2·m, W = (2.0+0.2CMnO2+0.2CCr2O3)·(m/50) for objects with oxidative capacity and W = [1.0-0.8(CS+0.3CAs+0.1CSb)]·(50/m) for objects with reductive capacity, where Gfl is weight of lead oxides used as flux, g; MPbxOy and MPbO are molecular masses of non-stoichiometric lead oxide and lead(II) oxide, respectively; W weight of starch, g; CSiO2, CS, CAs, CSb, CMnO2, and CCr2O3 are weight concentrations of silicon oxide, sulfur, arsenic, manganese, and chromium, respectively, in sample, %; and m is weight of weighed amount taken from sample, g.
EFFECT: increased rapidity of assay and reduced expenses.
