FIELD: analytical methods in precious metal technology.
SUBSTANCE: when carrying out treatment of a lot of samples, a representative collection of samples is isolated, whose volume depends on volume of the lot of samples and is preset according to data analysis control norms. Each sample form the collection is ground to particle size 10 mm and free coarse gold is then recovered from the sample with the aid of control sieves. Each sample is then divided into two equal portions 1 and 2. Each portion is treated as an independent sample according to the same scheme, which is accepted un treatment of ordinary samples. Portions 1 and 2 of all samples of the selection are sieved to isolate gold-rich fraction below 0.1 mm and fraction above 0.1 mm not enriched with gold. Weight percentages of fractions in each sample portion are determined. Relative accidental error of the individual sample treatment is calculated and its significance is estimated with the aid of a certain calculation condition. After that, conclusion is drawn about significance of the accidental error of the sample lot treatment. Accidental error of the sample lot treatment is significant when N > A, where N is number of samples in selection, for which significant accidental error of treatment is determined, and A is acceptance value established by the analysis data control norms. Finally, systematic error of the sample lot treatment is estimated. Novelty resides in procedure for finding volume of the sample selection and procedure for evaluating accidental and systematic errors of the sample lot treatment.
EFFECT: enhanced control efficiency due to increased responsiveness and reliability.
