SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Technical result is achieved by steps of: selecting one of M predetermined implementations of pseudorandom noise; generating a series of pseudo-random noise values for quantizing said series of coefficients based on the selected implementation of the pseudo-random noise; wherein M is an integer greater than one; selecting a codebook from M predetermined codebooks; entropy encoding said row of quantization indices using said selected codebook; wherein said M predetermined code dictionaries are respectively associated with said M predetermined pseudorandom noise implementations; wherein said M predetermined code dictionaries were trained using, respectively, said M predetermined realizations of pseudorandom noise; wherein said selected codebook is associated with said selected implementation of pseudo-random noise; and inputting these coefficients, which serve as a feature of entropy coded quantisation indices, into the bit stream.
EFFECT: high perceptual performance when encoding an audio signal into a bit stream.
