FIELD: agricultural engineering; strip tillage of soil.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary tiller consists of two disks secured on hub and L-shaped tines which are installed on disks with wings pointed inwards. Disks are made over outer diameter in form of alternating projections and cutouts and are installed so that projections of one of disks are located opposite to cutouts of other disk. Tines are located from outer side of projections. Front face of post of each tine in direction of rotation of sections of its penetration into soil either projects forward or coincides with front face of disk projection. Rotary tiller makes it possible to reduce power consumption at tilling owing to prevention of soil sticking on outer sides of disks between posts of L-shaped tines and preclude clogging of interdisk space with soil at higher humidity of soil.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption at tillage.
