FIELD: agricultural industry.

SUBSTANCE: sowing machine consists of a frame whereon in turn there installed are support-and-drive wheels, a cutting section, a seed tank with seed-sowing devices and their drive, seed drop tubes, seed guides, and packer wheels. Cutting section has mechanism which adjusts the depth of the cultivated area and is covered with a housing. On outlet shafts of the cutting section installed are working members made in the form of plates with L-shaped knives. Working member of the cutting section has a safety coupling which consists of a drive half-coupling and driven half-coupling, and an intermediate sleeve. Drive half-coupling is installed on the outlet shaft of the cutting section and on its external surface, and on splines installed are clutch driving plates. Driven half-coupling installed on the internal surface has longitudinal protrusions, and thereon fixed are plates with L-shaped knives. Intermediate sleeve is provided with longitudinal grooves made on external surface, and on its internal surface, on splines there located are clutch driven plates. Each longitudinal protrusion of the driven half-coupling is located in the appropriate longitudinal groove of intermediate sleeve and between them, and on the side opposite to the rotating direction mounted are damping springs. Total stiffness of damping springs at maximum fitting length is equal to average force of soil cutting with L-shaped knives. Clutch driving and driven plates are installed on spline connections in turn and in a movable manner in axial direction. Plates are compressed between themselves with turning force equal to total stiffness of damping springs at maximum compression and under maximum permissible load applied to L-shaped knife.

EFFECT: improving soil treatment and sowing quality, increasing service life of knives, and reducing energy consumption required for the cutting operation.
