SUBSTANCE: proposed trimaran has center hull provided with receiving compartment and aft and fore hold gates; side hulls are shifted sternward relative to line of stern of center hull or forward relative to line of bow of center hull by amount exceeding length of receiving compartment. For loading the cargo, trimaran runs on it and hold gates are opened for admitting this cargo into receiving compartment. Trimaran may consist of main parts and cargo parts. In this case, cargo and main parts of center hull are coupled first and main then main and cargo parts of side hulls are coupled. In an emergency, hulls may be separated by explosive welding inter-hull fasteners performed with the aid of shaped charges.
