FIELD: treatment of water.
SUBSTANCE: device has tank separated with baffles into receiving chamber, air tank with aerator and secondary settling tank with the overflow opening, airlifts for pumping the mixture of water and active slime, and collecting well. The air tank is provided with an additional airlift. The suction levels of the airlifts are different. The outlet of the airlift with the bottom suction is connected with the detachable filtering slime collector mounted at the inlet to the secondary settling tank. The airlift with the top suction is directly connected with the secondary settling tank. The airlift for pumping water contaminated with active slime to the receiving chamber is mounted in the collecting well. The receiving chamber is additionally provided with an aerator. The method includes supplying the water to the devices for purifying waste and discharging purified water through the drain, pumping the mixture from the zone of accumulation of the active slime to the filtering slime collector and to the secondary settling tank from the zone of the purified water. The purified water is supplied to the collecting well by gravity. The sediment of the active slime is periodically pumped to the receiving chamber.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of purification.
