FIELD: measuring engineering.
SUBSTANCE: Coriolis flow meter has a straight flow meter pipe provided with a drive and an oscillation sensor. The housing embracing the flow meter pipe from the inlet end to the outlet end withstands the flow meter load. The housing and pipe are made of materials with close thermal expansion coefficients. A cover made of a corrosion protection material is mounted outside the housing with a spaced relation to it. The cover provide sanitary-hygienic surface for the housing. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the cover material is pronouncedly different from the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material of the flow meter pipe. The space may be filled with insulation and provided with heaters.
EFFECT: reduced cost of manufacturing.
