FIELD: radio detection and ranging; radio navigation; measurement of flight altitude and pitch and bank angles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes master oscillator, reference and control voltage forming unit, radiation unit and reception unit. Radiation unit includes radiation frequency transfer subunit and signal beam rotation subunit. Radiation frequency transfer subunit includes group of radiation frequency converters and radiation signal beam rotation subunit includes group of radiation antenna. Reception subunit includes observation beam group distribution unit, four observation beam forming units and aircraft flight parameter separation unit. Distribution unit of groups of revolving observation beams includes group of observation beam rotation unit which consists of receiving antenna group. Each observation beam group forming unit includes reception frequency transfer units, synthesis and detection unit group and time interval selection and measurement unit. Each reception frequency transfer unit includes reception phase shifter group, reception frequency converter group and reception filter group. Aircraft flight parameter (change of altitude and pitch and bank angles) separation unit includes three inverters and five adders. Wide-band scanned beam of signal and four groups wide-band gated observation beams are formed by group of signal radiation antennae at respective frequencies and four groups of reception antennae at medium frequency with the use of frequency converter groups. Said beams are rotating at first and second angular velocities in first and second vertical planes at preset moments of time corresponding to altitude of flight and pitch and bank angles.
EFFECT: increased resolving power; enhanced accuracy and reliability; extended functional capabilities.
