FIELD: physics, navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar, primarily to small-size radar stations, and can be used in different types of underwater- and air-based equipment. In the all-around looking radar, which consists of an antenna, a transmitting device, a receiving device, a primary information processing device, a secondary information processing device, the antenna is in form of a printed-circuit board, and a motor and a unit for controlling the rotary drive of the antenna are integrated into a common base of the radar station. The receiving and transmitting devices are in form of submodules, are merged into a receiving-transmitting unit and are connected to the antenna through a circulator. The primary information processing device and the secondary information processing device are a digital signal generating and processing module which is based on logic integrated circuits, digital signal processors, analogue-to-digital converter microcircuits and direct digital signal synthesis microcircuits. A telecode information generator is integrated into the digital signal generating and processing module. Aircraft speed and inclination compensation is performed according to a program in the digital signal generating and processing module. The digital signal generating and processing module is configured to receive a reflected echo signal from the receiving-transmitting unit. After conversion to digital form, the module is configured to form a synthetic aperture, perform correlation processing of the obtained image, select a Doppler target signal (spectrum) and transmit the signal via an Ethernet to an external operator module which is capable of storing and converting map information and display a radar image obtained from the all-around looking radar together with the map of the area.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities for monitoring surroundings and for remote probing of the earth's surface in order to detect low-visibility fixed and mobile objects.
