FEED CONTROLLER FOR GASES AND LIQUIDS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: machine engineering, possibly controlling feed of gases and liquids at gas-shield metal welding, in medicine, in domestic condition for mixing cold and hot water and son on.

SUBSTANCE: feed controller includes hollow body with outlet union in central part, two sleeve with internal thread mounted on ends of body. On bottom portion of each sleeve there is inlet union. On lateral surfaces of each sleeve there are electromagnetic windings that may be connected to power source. In chambers restricted by inner surfaces of sleeves and ends of body there are members for controlling stroke of valve-core arranged in cavity of body with possibility of axial motion and having central cylindrical part and cone end portions. In central part of valve-core there is annular turning whose cavity if communicated with outlet union; in cylindrical part of valve-core at both sides relative to turning there are lengthwise grooves for passing liquids and gases from chambers to cavity of annular turning. Each member for controlling stroke is in the form of ring of non-magnetic material whose elasticity modulus is more than that of material of valve-core. Said ring has thread on its generatrix and axial opening with cone turning around opening designed for engaging with cone surface of valve-core. Turning has size 2 - 3.5 mm. Conicity angle of cone portions of valve -core is in range 90 - 150 degrees. Each member for controlling stroke is screwed in thread of respective sleeve and it may be moved for adjustment.

EFFECT: simplified design, increased useful life period of controller.
