FIELD: machine engineering, namely casting with use of consumable patterns.
SUBSTANCE: pattern is made of material containing powder of sodium tetraborate with fraction size 0.1 - 0.63 mm clad with pattern composition. Material includes ingredients at next relation by volume: pattern composition, 10 - 65% ; sodium tetraborate, 35 - 90 %. Pattern material is metered to press-mold in quantity providing manufacture of patterns with porosity 3 - 10 %. Pattern material is pressed without preliminary heating at joining parting surfaces of press-mold for sintering pattern material practically without phase deformation processes and providing its open capillary porosity for compensating temperature expansion of pattern at melting it out of ceramic mold.
EFFECT: improved dimensional and geometry accuracy of patterns and castings.
