FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: method is realized by addition of ethane and/or ethylene to contact with molecular oxygen-containing gas into reactor with a fluidized layer in the presence of a solid oxidation catalyst in form of microspheric pseudo-fluidized particles. Size of at least 90% of catalytic particles is less 300 mcm. Invention proposes also a combined method for preparing acetic acid and/or vinyl acetate involving the following stages: (a) addition in the first reaction zone of raw containing ethylene and/or ethane and steam optionally to the contact with molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a solid oxidation catalyst in form of microspheric pseudo-fluidized particles wherein size of at least 90% of these catalytic particles is less 300 mcm used for oxidation of ethylene to acetic acid and/or ethane to acetic acid to obtain the first product involving acetic acid, water, ethylene (or as unreacted ethylene and/either as ethylene formed as a by-side product), and optional ethane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen; and (b) administration in the second reaction zone in the presence or absence of additional amount of ethylene and/or acetic acid of at least the first gaseous product comprising at least acetic acid and ethylene, and one or some such optional materials as water, ethane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen to the contact with molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of catalyst that is effective in synthesis of vinyl acetate to obtain the second product comprising vinyl acetate, water, acetic acid and optional ethylene. Product from the stage (b) is separated by distillation for upper azeotropic fraction containing vinyl acetate and water and bottom fraction containing acetic acid. Acetic acid and vinyl acetate are isolated. Invention provides reducing abrasion of catalyst.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
