FIELD: primary treatment of bust crops, in particular, methods for producing of elongated fibers from stems.
SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminarily forming layer; providing thinning thereof; pressing-in stems; providing mechanical processing in two scutching machines. Before mechanical processing, stem layer is offset with apex ends onto conveyor clamping line of second scutching machine. Depending on average length of stems, root-mean-square deflection of apex and butt ends of stems, said layer is additionally offset toward apex ends by value of k1·k2·x, where k1, k2 are coefficients taking into account changes of layer width and offset thereof relative to clamping line during thinning and pressing-in procedures, x is optimal position of layer relative to clamping line of conveyor of second scutching machine determined from formula: where 1m is average mass-length of stems; δ1, δ2 is root-mean-square deflection by apex and butt ends of stems, 1t is minimal length of stems fit for scutching process determined by constructive features of conveyor clamps of scutching machine.
EFFECT: increased yield of elongated fibers by increased mass part of stems fed under clamping conveyors of scutching machines owing to regulation of layer position depending on structural parameters of layer.
