FIELD: power engineering and chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of synthesis gas in synthetic ammonia production process. According to proposed method of delivery of natural gas to ammonia production plant with its compression to pressure of 4.1-4.5 MPa, chemisorption catalytic sulfur purification of compressed natural gas at temperature of 350-400oC, metering out of means pressure steam of 3.8 - 4.2 MPa and addition of steam into natural gas, steam and steam-air catalytic conversion in tubular furnace and shaft reactor at pressure of 2.9 - 3.8 MPa and temperature of 500-1010oC, compression of air with drive from steam condensing turbine, two-stage conversion of carbon oxide, cleaning of gas from carbon dioxide, fine after-cleaning of gas by methanation, topping up compression of obtained synthesis gas with drive from steam turbine operating on high-pressure steam of 9.6-10.6 MPa with medium steam extraction, generation of superheated high-pressure steam (9.6-10.6 MPa) owing to use of heat of technological processes, heat of tubular furnace flue gases and in auxiliary boiler, compression of natural gas from pressure of 2.0-4.0 MPa to pressure of 4.1-4.5 MPa is carried out in jet compressor using high-pressure steam of 9.6-10.6 MPa with subsequent addition of deficit quantity of medium pressure steam into obtained steam-gas mixture and chemiscorption catalytic sulfur purification of natural gas is carried out at pressure of 2.0-4.0 MPa before its compression in jet compressor.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of energy and capital and repair expenses, improved reliability of equipment in operation.
