FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with a device to check hermiticity of items and it may be used for testing of the hollow items, for example auto-tractor heat exchangers, using a gas to check for leakage. The hermiticity check device contains: a reference container; a source of pressure linked with it through a gate; a trunk consisting of two sections with a shut-off device made in the form of a sealed vessel partially filled with a liquid; two tubes rigidly linked with the vessel, the open butts of which are immersed into a liquid to equal depth and the other butts of the tubes are connected with the facing each other ends of the trunk sections, one end of the trunk is connected to the reference container and other one- with the item; an indicating device with a movable partition made in the form of a tube with a drop of a liquid and the first cavity of the indicator is connected with the reference container and the second cavity of which is located on the opposite side of the shut-off device and an assembly to turn the trunk with the shut-off device, and the indicating device with a movable partition around of an axis laying in a plane in parallel to a mirror of a liquid at an angle, the value of which is chosen from a condition of connection of the open butts of the tubes with the air cavity of the vessel. According to the invention there is an exciter of periodic fluctuation of pressure initiating the reciprocal motions of the movable partition of the indicating device, that allows to increase accuracy of the leakage check at the expense of a decrease of the action of surface tension force of the liquid movable partition of the indicating device.

EFFECT: the invention allows to increase accuracy of the leakage check.
