FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention enables impermeability tests of hollow articles, such as water coolers of tractors, agricultural machines and cars. The impermeability control device contains: reference reservoir with pressure source linked to it through a valve; a main consisting of two pieces with a shutting-off device, so that one end of the main is linked to the reference reservoir and the other end joins an article under test; an indicator with movable divider in a form of a tube with a drop of fluid, the first cavity of the indicator linked to the reference reservoir, the second cavity opposite to the shutting-off device and hinge of the main linked to the shutting-off device; exciter of periodic pressure oscillation connected to the end of main and linked to the reference reservoir and to the indicator with movable divider, exciting reciprocal movement of the indicator divider. According to the invention, the moving end of the exciter of periodic pressure oscillation is connected to the lower part of a T-rod, while the upper part of the T-rod bears an arm which is connected to the output device of an electric linear actuator via a rotary joint on the right, and on the left the arm surface opposite to the T-rod contacts a pin mounted on a disk with axle at a given distance from the axle, which is fixed to the surface opposite to the pin and connected to the output shaft of second mechanic reducer, and the output shaft of second mechanic reducer is connected to the shaft of the second electric drive. The arm is pressed to the pin via the T-rod by the moving part of the exciter of periodic pressure oscillation, the inner cavity of which is linked to the reference reservoir of the impermeability control device.
