FIELD: polymeric composites.
SUBSTANCE: proposed composite has at least one electricity conducting filler dispersed inside and encapsulated by nonconducting elastomer; filler type and concentration are such that its resistivity varies in response to deforming force to value actually equal to resistance of its conductor bridges; proposed composite also has modifier that accelerates its elastic return to quiescent state upon removal of deforming forces. As an alternative, filler is mixed up with elastomer in mixing mode in which case destructive shearing forces are eliminated. Siloxane rubber is used as elastomer. Filler can be chosen from group of metal elements in the form of powder and alloys. Elastomer can be produced from siloxane polymer curable at room temperature. Colloidal silicon dioxide can be used as modifier. This composite is used for electrical device that has electric conductor combined with means for stressing this conductor to desired conductivity level.
EFFECT: ability of polymeric composite to elastically deform from quiescent state.
