FIELD: protection and supervision of pipe-line systems.
SUBSTANCE: method includes recording time of coming two shock waves of lowered pressure generating at the moment of the local breaking down of a pipe line, calculating the time difference of the coming shock waves, determining the site of leakage, generating high-frequency oscillation at the moment of the local breaking down, control of its phase with a modulating code, which comprises information on the number of emergency pipeline segment, and, thus, generating the alarm signal.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
