FIELD: electrical engineering; spacecraft solar batteries incorporating cellular-filler flat panels.
SUBSTANCE: solar battery designed to generate electrical energy by converting light emission energy into electricity has frame of at least two flat cellular panels and is provided in addition with several frameless semirigid film panels placed in transit between cellular ones for locking and designed to reduce mass and size of battery. Film panels are made in the form of three-layer reinforced film with semicircular stiffening ribs whose hollows accommodate carbon-plastic spokes joined with carbon-plastic platforms which mount hinges.
EFFECT: enhanced specific characteristics of solar battery.
