FIELD: devices for balancing and matching antennas operating in very-high- and ultrahigh-frequency bands.
SUBSTANCE: proposed broadband balancing-and-matching device has two symmetrical tubular semi-rings forming snap ring with gap ab and coaxial input disposed on tubular ring in diametric opposition to gap. Central conductor is laid inside first semi-ring and forms coaxial line together with the latter. One end of central conductor is connected to central conductor of coaxial input and other end is brought out to ring gap. Part of first semi-ring coaxial line starting from gap is made in the form of quarter-wave matching transformer. Second semi-ring accommodates central conductor forming open-circuit stub. End of open-circuit stub central conductor is connected in ring gap with output of quarter-wave matching transformer central conductor. Both central conductors are secured within tubular semi-rings by means of insulating washers.
EFFECT: enlarged operating frequency band of balancing-and-matching unit.
