FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method is realised by changing the shape of the arms of a symmetrical vibrator in the lower part of the frequency band (first log-periodic combined antenna (LCA)) and introducing a wideband symmetrising-matching device supplemented by a ferrite ring or transflucators. In the top part of the disclosed wavelength range, the result is achieved by introducing an additional third module for receiving signals in the centimetre wavelength range in a microstrip design. As a result of matching all three LCA modules (metre, decimetre and centimetre) optimum distribution of the electromagnetic field on the antenna curtain is achieved. The LCA has series-connected wideband symmetrising-matching device, first, second and third modules. In the main version of the LCA, distribution lines of the second and third modules are mutually placed at an angle α-6-8°, and the third module has a microstrip design on two dielectric plates with one-sided wiring. The LCA has 32 centimetre vibrators, T-shaped arms of which have the two largest dimensions.
EFFECT: wide range of working frequencies while preserving weight and size characteristics.
