FIELD: broadband radio communication, telecommunication, and radar systems, antenna assemblies with dipole feeds and radiators.
SUBSTANCE: proposed balancer has coaxial and two-wire symmetrical transmission line sections, as well as open-circuit quarter-wave stub, wave impedances of all fragments being equal. Open-circuit stub is disposed in parallel with coaxial line section and aimed at generator. Starting lead of stub external conductor and finishing lead of coaxial line external conductor are interconnected; starting lead of stub internal conductor and finishing lead of coaxial line section internal conductor are connected to respective starting leads of two-wire line. Rather compact coaxial and strip-line printed-circuit structures with relative operating frequency band of about 25% affording more than two-fold increase in balancing and matching bandwidth for feeding dipoles can be attained using standard Russian-made coaxial cables, materials, and Russian technologies.
EFFECT: reduced size, enlarged balancing and matching bandwidth in feeding dipoles.
