FIELD: secondary power systems for power modulators, automatic-control and radio equipment, low- and high-voltage drives.
SUBSTANCE: dc voltage is converted into high-frequency ac voltage, rectified, smoothed down, and converted by means of output inverter into voltage of desired kind. In shaping sine-wave voltage (in particular case) power switches of output inverter are switched over as soon as current crosses zero which makes it possible to use single-operation low-frequency semiconductor devices permitting series-parallel connection and to implement frequency-regulated electric drive rated at 6 kV and higher voltages.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, enlarged output voltage and power range.
