FIELD: power engineering; converting electrical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of controlling pulse power converters for supplying cathodic protection stations used for corrosion protection of underground metal structures. Polyphase voltage converter for cathodic protection stations comprises an input mains filter connected to a network rectifier, an active filter, load of which are power modules consisting of a high-frequency inverter providing power control based on pulse-width modulation, a choke, a supply transformer, a rectifier bridge, output smoothing filter, digital control circuit with telemetry system. High-frequency inverter is made in form of high-frequency polyphase inverter, which circuit includes a series of parallel switches (Kpf-1, Kpf-2, ..., Kpf-N), which are controlled by a microprocessor with a given phase shift for each switch and their subsequent summation under the control of a digital control circuit. Power modules are connected in parallel to the circuit, directly after the active filter.

EFFECT: thus, the use of a high-frequency polyphase inverter in the circuit and the connection of power modules in parallel, directly after the active filter, provides for improvement of reliability and efficiency of voltage conversion at reduction of weight and dimension parameters of polyphase voltage converter of cathodic protection station with adaptive control.
