FIELD: concentration of minerals, in particular, extraction of diamonds from diamond-containing materials.
SUBSTANCE: screen-concentrator has box provided with screening surface and mounted on supporting frame by means of shock-absorbing members, vibration exciter, and concentration member made in the form of transverse ribs, which are arranged on the entire area of screening surface and rest directly against said surface. Concentration member is fitted with at least one longitudinal channel of variable depth. Longitudinal channel is joined at its lower level with slots between ribs through side openings. Ribs are inclined toward longitudinal channel and toward charging side of screen-concentrator so that their number and inclination angle may be altered. Ribbed covering of concentration member is made abrasion-resistant. Channel and portions of slots between ribs are shielded at junction sites from the top with longitudinal two-sided shield. Feeding gravity spout is positioned at discharge end of longitudinal channel. Box with screening surface and concentration member is positioned for changing vibration frequency and amplitude. Sizes of screening surface cells, width and angle of slope of longitudinal shield may be changed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of classification and gravitational concentration of minerals, improved conditions for separation of mineral mixtures and simultaneous continuous vibrodynamic discharge of increased- density fractions into individual product.
