FIELD: building industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of sulfur binding agents and can be used for producing sulfur concrete designated for protection against radiation and for pouring seams in fettling, equipment and building constructions exploiting under conditions of effect of ionizing radiations. Binding agent for producing radiation-protective building materials comprises the following components, wt.-%: sulfur, 32.31-41.32; barite with specific surface 250 m2/kg, 57.74-67.21; additive - a mixture of paraffin, black carbon and kerosene taken in the ratio = 1:1:1 by mass, 0.48-0.96. Invention provides enhancing average density and strength of binding agent.
EFFECT: valuable properties of binding agent.
