FIELD: sulfur binding compounds for producing sulfur concrete.
SUBSTANCE: proposed binding agent used for producing sulfur concrete designed for neutron radiation shielding and also for potting joints of lining, apparatuses, and building structures meant for operation in ionizing radiation environment has in its composition sulfur and filler; used as filler is ferroboron slag having surface area of 150 m2/kg; it also has reinforcing additive in the form of carbon fiber, 15 - 20 mm long, and modifying additive in the form of wax, proportion of ingredients being as follows, mass percent: sulfur, 37.59 - 37.64; mentioned ferroboron slag, 61.29 - 61.37; mentioned carbon fiber, 0.57 - 0.94; wax, 0.19 - 0.41.
EFFECT: enhanced bending strength.
