LOCKING DEVICE FOR CONNECTING PIPELINES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, particularly for connecting pipelines for well cavity venting during coal augering.

SUBSTANCE: locking device includes flanges connected to ends of pipelines. One flange has orifice and connection finger arranged into the orifice. Another flange comprises annular groove and rotary ring arranged into annular groove. Flange with orifice and finger has diametrically opposite additional orifice with additional connection finger installed into additional orifice. Slots are formed on side surfaces of connection fingers facing pipeline body. Rotary ring includes detachable sections with extensions of U-shaped cross-sections arranged diametrically opposite one to another on outer surface thereof. When connecting two adjacent pipelines extensions are arranged in slots of connection fingers. Diametrically opposite transversal slots are made on outer surface of rotary ring sections. Installed in transversal slots is fixer connected to pipeline body.
