FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: joint of drill rod string has cylindrical guide member and unit of axial locking of joint made in form of ring with radial protrusions located in annular groove on outer cylindrical surface of joint cams in middle part of their length. Angular width of radial protrusions of ring is less than that of hollows between joint cams. Joint may have one more ring with mutually conjugated hollows and protrusion whose angular width is equal to, or larger than, that of ring radial protrusion. During operation of joint, preliminary mutual orientation of drill rods in angular direction is excluded, both, in assembly and disassembly of drill string. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
