SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport and relates to protection against unauthorized exposure of a moving element of a vehicle, preferably steering. Anti-theft device for a vehicle contains detachable coupling 1 with removable bolt 2. Removable bolt 2 is fixed in groove 6 of coupling 1 by means of movable stopper 7, placed together with compression spring 8 manipulating on it, in bolt 2 with the possibility to be moved into recess 9 of coupling 1 and controlled by drive mechanism 10, located in longitudinal hole 11 of bolt 2 and containing on the one hand the element of interaction with stopper 7, and on the other hand security element 12. Mechanism 10 of the drive is spring-loaded in the direction of security element 12 with the possibility of breaking the connection of drive mechanism 10 with stopper 7 with the complete or partial removal of security element 12. Drive mechanism 10 is spring-loaded by cylindrical compression spring 13 located in extended portion 14 of longitudinal hole 11 of bolt 2 adjacent to security element 12.
