FIELD: mining industry, particularly for developing minerals under water objects.
SUBSTANCE: method involves defining parameters of deposit development, namely lower boundary of water object, lower boundary of waterproof deposits, thickness of waterproof deposit; excavated deposit thickness, dimensions of excavation area in dip and strike directions; determining height of water conveyance cracks by calculating value of horizontal tensile deformation on predetermined horizon above breakage heading; comparing thereof with threshold deformation criterion; developing deposit by systems with falling rocks. Deposit developing is began with taking into consideration of filtration coefficient and calculated water entry into mine tunnel, which is determined by given formula. If expected water entry value exceeds maximal possible for this mine tunnel dimensions of mine tunnel area is reduced by forming separation pillars having widths equal to doubled value of excavated deposit thickness but not less than 10 m.
EFFECT: increased safety of mining works, reduced labor inputs for performing protection works, increased fullness of mineral excavation.
