FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method includes defining of clayed rocks content in undermined massive, end curve as function of clayed rocks content, height of water conveying cracks zone (WCZ) as function of end curve and working-bed height. There defined is a centre of rock thickness distribution of undermined thickness as arithmetic average distance vertically from bed roof to roof of each layer and centre of rock thickness distribution at their equal thickness as total thickness of undermined rocks vertically. From this value there defined is a relative centre of rocks distribution according to their thicknesses in undermined thickness as ratio of centre of rock thickness distribution of undermined thickness to half of total thickness of undermined rocks vertically, end curve is corrected by multiplying by value of average centre of rocks distribution by their thickness in undermined thickness and there defined is a height of WCZ as function of corrected end curve and working-bed height.
EFFECT: increase of accuracy, consistency and efficiency of defining the height of water conveying cracks zone formed over mined-out area of the bed.
