FIELD: drilling facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of axial support of turbodrill spindle and spindle of screw downhole motor. Novelty in proposed multistep axial support whose steps are provided with sliding bearings is that said sliding bearings are made in form of pivots rigidly secured on shaft between which spacer rings are installed, and step bearings fixed in housing and divided by spacer rings, axial clearance between surfaces of pivot and step bearing δ is within 0,1-1Δ where Δ is radial clearance is support for working liquid flow.
EFFECT: increased service life and improved reliability of operation of spindle support and drilling tools owing to reduction of amplitude of axial displacements of spindle shaft and reduction impact loads caused by said axial displacement in operation.
