FIELD: drilling equipment, design of axial slide bearings of downhole motors setting drilling bits in rotation in process of hole drilling. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with invention axial slide bearing of downhole motor includes rotating discs of thrust journal fixed on spindle shaft and non-rotating thrust bearings anchored in body of spindle which upper and lower face surfaces have annular grooves filled with elastic material flush with face surfaces. Internal surfaces of annular grooves of non-rotating thrust bearings are rough and polyurethane is used in the capacity of elastic material. Roughness of internal surfaces of annular grooves comes in the form of protrusions and recesses of triangular or rectangular shape with recess depth from 0.1 to 5.0 mm, it can come in the form of mutually matched thread on both side internal surfaces of annular grooves. Radial grooves of spiral direction are cut in upper and lower face surfaces of rotating discs of thrust journal. This approach ensures reduction of labor input to manufacture of axial slide bearing by factor of 3-4 under rated manufacturing conditions and reliable operation of 400-500 hours of continuous boring. EFFECT: reliable operation of axial slide bearing under drilling conditions. 5 cl, 6 dwg
