METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LAYING PIPELINES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2235243 C1

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: pipeline provided with pontoon-heavers filled with a loose material for control its buoyancy is submerged by filling the pontoons-heavers with fluid. The pontoons-heavers are made of soft containers provided with two soft pressure-tight vessels connected with the pipeline and filled with soil. Each vessel is provided with a soft filling hose, means for its shutting off, and valves for filling the vessels with fluid and discharging air. The longitudinal axes of the pressure-tight vessels are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipeline. The soft vessels are additionally interconnected.

EFFECT: simplified design.
