FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; electrical machine manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrical machine has salient-pole rotor 1 with radial cooling ducts 3, stator 4 with core 5, winding 6, frame 8, air-separating end-shields 11, 12 in butt-end zone. Air-separating end-shield 11 is mounted above stator butt-end; end-shield 12 is installed above butt-end of rotor 1 and secured thereon. End-shields 11 and 12 provide for air passage between them and form radial-annual chamber together with butt-end parts of stator. End-shield 12 is made in the form of two parallel rings 14, 15 having common axis of revolution. Ring 14 directly abuts against rotor 1 and its radial length equals that of cooling ducts 3 of rotor 1; ring 15 encloses part of rotor 1 and poles 2 with minimal gap relative to end portions of winding 6 at location point of their fastening members 7, at outlet of core 5. Rings 14 and 15 are joined together by means of radial ribs 17 uniformly arranged over circumference to form radial cooling duct 18. Radial length of ribs 17 corresponds to that of ring 15, outer-diameter end of the latter and butt-ends of ribs 17 being joined with hollow cylinder 19.
EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced strength and effectiveness of cooling system.
